Our Story

Lily and Ronny first met in 2014 after being introduced by a mutual friend, and sparks flew instantly. They bonded over their love of prestige TV, Oscar-nominated movies, and elder emo bands. While the two stayed in touch over the years, meeting up for an occasional concert here and there, it wasn’t until 2021 that they decided to make things official.

After a few months of long-distance dating, with Lily in San Francisco and Ronny in Southern California, Ronny packed up and moved north for work (but really for Lily). When they’re not up in Napa tasting funky oranges or earthy reds, they might be perusing records or books to grow their home collection bit by bit.

Over 10 years after they first met, Lily and Ronny will tie the knot in Petaluma. “Excited” doesn’t even come close to describing how they’re feeling about celebrating their commitment to each other with all of their friends and family present. It’s going to be the best party they’ve ever thrown, and they hope you’ll be able to join for the festivities.

The Bride’s Side

  • Maid of Honor

Sarah has been Lily’s best friend since the two met during middle school (at Alex’s birthday and New Year’s Eve party!). In nearly two decades of friendship, the two have bonded over their love of crafting, playing dungeons and dragons, enjoying a good soup, and watching twelve episodes of Chopped in a row. Sarah has endured Lily’s absolute lack of patience when it comes to buying herself a little treat, and will always remind Lily to take a deep breath and go on a walk anytime she suggests she might want to get bangs. From sitting in mud baths in the Joshua Tree desert, to splitting a sandwich at the edge of the Grand Canyon, Sarah has been a constant rock for Lily, and she can’t imagine having anyone else next to her as she and Ronny make this commitment to each other.

  • Bridesmaid

Alex and Lily met when the two both joined the River Park Royals soccer team as kids. Growing up a few blocks away from each other meant the two shared summers filled with swimming at Glen Hall Pool (and the occasional night swim at Sunsplash), riding bikes around East Sacramento, and watching Shaun of the Dead approximately 40 times (a conservative estimate). With both now living in the Bay Area, Lily and Alex (and Sarah!) still get to share cozy blanket fort viewings of Pride & Prejudice, and eating multiple packs of ramen out of one shared giant bowl. Lily is beyond thrilled to have one of her oldest friends to support her on her and Ronny’s big day.

  • Bridesmaid

Melissa joined the team at Asana only a couple months after Lily joined, and the two were nearly inseparable almost instantly. A penchant for a little bit of office gossip, and a shared love of wine and cheese brought the two gals together, and their ability to fluently toss 30 Rock quotes back at each other cemented their friendship. One of Lily’s fondest memories of the early Asana days was Mel’s debrief after a first date with her now-husband, Riki, who had been appropriately nicknamed “Two Dog Guy” after their beloved pups, Hazel Grace and Gizmo. While neither Melissa nor Lily still works at Asana, and the days of sharing a secret cup of wine in a conference room have passed, the two still love to catch up over a nice rosé and a cheeseboard, and maybe a board game or two. Lily is so excited to celebrate her and Ronny’s wedding with Melissa by her side, and to dance like nobody’s watching.

The Groom’s Side

  • Best Man

Tyler and Ronny have been best friends for nearly 30 years! Meeting when they were just kids they’ve maintained their friendship through their respective young adult journeys. Even when they went years without seeing each other (Tyler teaching English in Korea and going to school in Washington while Ronny took road trips across the United States) they’ve always been able to pick right back up like no time has passed. Always bonding over their shared eclectic music tastes (ranking their top albums every year since 2007!) or their quest to win the coveted SGV Fantasy Football Championship (Ronny 1, Tyler 0) their friendship has grown into more of a brotherhood. There was never any question that Tyler would be right beside Ronny as he marries Lily.

  • Groomsman

Ronny and Eerin met while working at Disneyland and quickly bonded over their shared love of the Los Angeles Dodgers, professional wrestling and heavy music. In the decade since they’ve met, they’ve traveled to music festivals in Chicago and Las Vegas as well as making childhood dreams come true by going to Wrestlemania and the L.A. Rams Super Bowl parade together. Eerin has been a constant support for Ronny in the good and bad times, constantly reminding him to remain optimistic and to embrace life's constant changes while remaining kind to those around you. Ronny and Eerin have many more adventures ahead of them including another Wrestlemania and hopefully a few more Dodgers World Series wins. Ronny is elated to have Eerin by his side to celebrate his and Lily’s wedding.

  • Groomsman

Paul and Ronny met one fateful night while working the fireworks show at Disneyland and instantly hit it off. Bonding over their shared appreciation of movies and art, Paul became a staple at Ronny’s early Oscar parties and now has reached permanent invite status at Lily and Ronny’s joint parties. With trips to Florida, (frequent) visits to wine country together and fights in Raising Cane’s parking lots, Paul has been a constant source of joy for years. Easy to talk to and welcoming to all, it was no mistake that Paul was one of the first friends that Ronny introduced to Lily. Ronny is beyond excited to have Paul by his side on his and Lily’s big day.

The Officiant

  • Officiant

Ronny is the baby brother that Roby never wanted but grew to love! In his role as older bro he’s helped Ronny get his first tattoo, taken him to his first concert and has tried (numerous times) to teach him how to surf. Through the years they’ve gone to countless baseball games and concerts including going to the Baseball Hall of Fame together alongside their Dad. As they’ve gotten older, they’ve continued to grow closer. Rob has officiated weddings before but claimed he was done doing it… unless his younger brother asked him to, which is exactly what he did. Ronny and Lily are deeply overjoyed to have Rob help them tie the knot, and can’t imagine anyone else to be the one welcoming Lily into the family.

We hope you’ll join us on this special day.
